Umeed Ki Kiran is a community-based, OPD clinic providing free, confidential, and comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to survivors of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) that adhere to international medical standards. We aim at alleviating suffering of survivors of violence by responding to their medical needs and respecting their dignity by ensuring informed consent, privacy and confidentiality. We provide care to all SGBV survivors, of all ages, genders, religious creed, ethnicity, nationality, ethnicity and/or caste, without discrimination.
Since its inauguration in November 2015, Umeed Ki Kiran clinic has provided free, quality, confidential and diligent SGBV care to over 1,500 SGBV survivors of all ages, gender, sexual orientation and religious affiliation.
Well-trained, all-female staff including medical doctors, nurses, counsellor-educators and social workers provide survivor-centric care at Umeed Ki Kiran Clinic in Jahangirpuri, which is a community-based, standalone OPD clinic operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
